Because San Francisco is the home base for the Airbnb company, the city has a really close eye on the market and makes it hard to bend the rules around the 90-night rental limit. In addition to your allocation of 90 nights, you can also rent your Airbnb property on a monthly basis, which allows you to continue renting if you decide you want to rent longer than 90 days.
